Rev. Antone Caldwell serves as the Minister of Music at St John Baptist Church. He is a Washington, D.C. native and the eldest of a generation of Pastors, Worship Leaders, Doctors, and Professional Opera Singers. His musical journey started at the age of 5, and blossomed into a career that has allowed him to accompany and musically direct of several artists over the years such as Pastor Shirley Caesar, Dorothy Norwood, Kirk Franklin, and the late greats Daryl Coley, and Andrae Crouch, to name a few.
Antone served as the Director of Youth Worship & Arts at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden for 16 years. Within that time he has also received his Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Master’s degree in Divinity, with a concentration in Sacred Music, from the Washington Baptist Seminary. In 2020, Antone received an honorary Doctorate in Divinity from the Universal Life Church in Seattle, Washington.
