Kathleen Ridley Cheek was ordained and became a member of the SJBC Diaconate in 2013. She is currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the Board. Her responsibilities include congregational care, supporting the Chairman of the Ministry, serving on the SJBC Leadership Team, Board of Trustees, and Human Resources committees.
Deacon Cheek also continues to serve SJBC as a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Missions Ministry, the Chair of the SJBC Breakfast Committee at the Route One/Day Resource Center through GrassRoots, and she represents SJBC with the Howard County Courageous Conversation Program.
