The SJBC Scholarship Fund

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Awarded to members of St John Baptist Church
  • High School graduates receive $750
  • Recurring undergraduate students receive $500 each year
  • The scholarship includes a financial gift, and monthly college connect empowerment and mentorship sessions for students.
  • Over 30 students currently receive this scholarship.
  •  The recurring scholarship is entering its third year of existence.
  • We also offer a $15,000 scholarship to the University of Maryland, College Park to 1 freshman, through 2025, in partnership with UMD President, Dr. Daryl Pines, and family.

  • Must be active member of SJBC for minimum of 1 year

Maureen Foster Pines Scholarship

  • Due Date

    Applications due by Sunday, June 4, 2023

  • Must be 1st year student of University of Maryland, College Park

  • Must be active member of SJBC

  • Awardee will receive one-time $15,000 gift
