Graduate Recognition

Awards & Eligibility
St John Baptist Church aims to financially support undergraduate students who art a part of our congregation. Eligible students will receive support for High School graduation and each subsequent undergraduate year.
Scholarship Awards*:
$750 for High School Graduates
$500 for Returning College Students
*Award disbursement in 2 increments: 50% in Fall 2023, 50% Spring 2024
Application Checklist:
2023 High School Graduates
Eligible Applicants Must:

Submit an Application:
No later than Sunday, June 11th at midnight

Be a 2023 High School Graduate

Be an Active Member of SJBC
Must be an active member of St John Baptist Church for a minimum of one year.*
*Applicants who joined the church post-June 2022 will still be recognized with gifts at the graduate recognition ceremony. -
Submit Acceptance Letter
Must submit a copy of your acceptance letter from the higher education institution of your choice.
Acceptable institutions include: two or four-year colleges/universities, trade schools, and technical colleges. -
Submit a Typed Essay
Must submit a typed essay between 1000 and 1500 words (prompts found below).
Recurring College Students
Eligible Applicants Must:

Submit Transcript
Must submit a copy of your transcript (official or unofficial)), verification of enrollment for Fall 2023
